Aside from watching the British public grind to a halt at 2 inches of snow and revelling in the masterpiece that is the Crown on Netflix (Give us a break, it is very very addictive) we've been trying to keep our feet warm while enjoying the Cheviots. That means we've been a wee bit quiet here on the digital frontier that is Northumberland.
That is - we've been quiet on the blog front but "flat oot" in reality with January being a key part of our years planning.
We're pretty chuffed that our mini doc , Joe Barnes at home (Watch below) has been selected as a finalist at the Fort William Mountain festival.
The video, which has squeaked 95,000 views on Youtube was Canyon's best performing video ever and tells a story of Joe that might often get overlooked.
This is a great honour for us given that we shot this video on a very small budget and fought against some dreadful weather, a tight schedule and the infamous Scottish Midges. Don't laugh, they are possibly why invaders have never stayed the course in Scotland.
Tommy will be doing a Q and A on the night of the 22nd Feb, so please, buy a ticket and ask him why he only drinks Earl Grey Tea...
Being multi faceted means that one week we've been launching the 2018 Naughty Northumbrian event which isn't just making effective social media launches, but means getting up into Coquet Valley, a mere 20 minute drive from HQ to look at site camping grounds, work travel logistics, parking and more. It's an event we are immensely proud to play our part in and this it will be bigger, slicker and a better experience for all the participants.
We've also got some great stuff lined up with Muckmedden for the year ahead, British Cycling, The SDA, Vittoria Tyres, Canyon, Bergamont, Royal and others.
Away from Cycling we've started working with the creative, dedicated, gin obsessed guys at Hepple Gin. We're excited to get going with the team up there - they have an awesome product (Aye, we sampled it, naturally) that they make themselves, have total control of quality right from having their own juniper and are making waves internationally.
That's all for now, so as they say around these parts; Adios Amigos.
