A region famed for the extreme - Fort William and Lochaber certainly have topographical traits that have came to define the "Outdoor capital". But in between Britains highest mountain and lochs, there is a latent desire to get the next generation into the outdoor space. This film was to serve two purposes - target the demographic that love the outdoors, but are part of a family unit, meaning children shape their movements. By inspiring a younger generation, we sought to draw in the 30-45 demographic.

THE CHALLENGE
Athlete collaboration
OUR APPROACH
When working with athletes, collaboration is crucial to achieve the best results. As our MD Tommy is a former athlete, he knows this well, and when it comes to collaborations, working with Joe Barnes is a favourite of ours. The concept for this film was jointly developed by Tommy and Joe, and once a clear route was established, we presented to the Outdoor Capital, who loved it! By bringing in Joe's athlete credibility and skill, along with his son Bo's enthusiasm, we knew we could hit a mark that was previously being missed.
THE OUTCOME
Bringing the magic of imagination to life.
Working as an in-house team, aided by our friends at the 2D workshop, we built as beautiful story to life with outstanding visuals, a strong narrative and wonderful animation. The result was massively increased engagement, multiple film festival awards and an increased uptake of web traffic to the Outdoor Capital Website. We supplied the full film, imagery and over 30 social media assets.
