Restoring the Wansbeck

Natural England

THE CHALLENGE

Bridging the gap

The three partners we worked with on this project operate in a complex and contested world - one that can often become polarising. Our task was distill complex information into a relatable, effective and compelling short film based around the River Wansbeck restoration project.

By doing this, the goals were to:

  • Help build green finance interest
  • Build trust, rapport and engagement from local farmers and landowners
  • Highlight the work that Natural England, The Environment Agency, Rivers Trust, National Trust and farmers were doing.

THE OUTCOME

What we achieved

Rather than write some long winded spiel, we thought we'd let our clients do the talking for us; " We were so delighted with the short film that DWAgency produced about the Coquet. They captured beautifully the Wansbeck catchment, landscape and people who work within it, and their considered approach to interviewing and editing really brought to life a complicated subject in a short, accessible film. I’m looking forward to the next opportunity we have to work together" Anna Gerring - The Rivers Trust
